At the Olympia KC show on 5/4/08 Kumar was WD and now just needs one point to finish. The Cairo x Tirzah daughter, Phedre', Dadaelis Kushiel's Chosen of T'Cai was WB/BW for her first point at just exactly 6 months of age.

Fin. Ch. Dadaelis Nile of Tazillah was awarded his first International Certificate (CACIB) at the Lahti Int'l Dog Show in Finland, winning Best Male and Best of Opposite Sex in an entry of 76 Salukis under Australian judge Erin Brown.

Kim Stewart's Australian import Elbahrani Xklusiv Tabu has a litter of 10 puppies, sired by "Murphy" - Ch. Elessar's Janus Al Monab (Cairo and Zoës brother). All puppies are feathered and there is a rainbow of colors - black tri w/Irish markings, black & white parti, mahogany & white parti, gold w/Irish markings, silver grizzle, and five cream partis! Zoës big red boy, now called "Lucas", went to a fun match on 3/2, charmed everyone and eventually won Puppy Group 2! He is owned by Kathy Jones in Seattle.

Kasandra went to her new home in Washington on 2/17/08 and we now just have one puppy left - the absolutely gorgeous and very sweet Kadeem. He is a black-fringed fawn Smooth boy. Please see our "Future" page for photos.

Both Drachma and Kumar were awarded their JC titles on 2/17/08 in Washington. Thanks to Susie Manthou for getting the dogs out for lure coursing.

Sharon Gause's much anticipated litter between "Simon" (Ch. Monab American Idol) and Netanya (Ch. Ruwach Netanya) was born on 2/14/08. There are five males and one female, all black, tan & white. Azali - Ch. Dadaelis Azali Farouk, finished her championship on 2/9/08 at the Linn County KC show in Oregon. She is a Cairo x Flirt daughter, and is co-owned with my friend Roberta Oliviero in Washington. She is our 46th Saluki champion.

"Lucky" was WD at the SCOA Eastern Regional Specialty in New York on 2/9/08. He now has 13 points, both majors. Kumar's sister Coco - Windstorm Ruwach Coco Chanel, was WB/BW for her second Specialty major.

"Lucky" - Uluru Falkor al Monab, was WD for a 4 point major at the Empire Saluki Club Specialty in New York on 2/8/08. He now has 8 points. Lucky was bred by Kim Stewart, sired by Khalils Katra, SC (Swedish import) out of Elbahrani Xklusiv Tabu, JC (Australian import), and is co-owned with Sue Ann Pietros and Bill & Sue Flynn.

Congratulations to Jane Worthington on her two new champions: Ch. Denali's Glacier Bay, owned by Miranda Chu-Allen, and Ch. Denali's Kenai Fjords, owned by Jane and Christina Roberts (Ch. Uno was WD and BOS over a male Special for a 4 point major from the 6-9 month puppy class at the Toy Dog Club of Puget Sound group show on 10/7.

Our Japanese Chin puppy was awarded WD/BW at his debut show, Wenatchee KC, at just under 8 months of age for 2 points on September 15th. The following day he was RWD.

Nile was awarded 2nd in the Championship Class at the Helsinki Sighthound Club Specialty in an entry of 90 Salukis under English judge Ken Allan.Thank you to the Allans for appreciating the quality of our Salukis around the world.

Kumar won Winners Dog at the Saluki Club of Canada Western Regional Specialty on 7/21/07 under English judge Diana Allan. Zoë was RWB.

Jane's Foxy won a 4 point major at West Palm Beach KC (Florida) on 7/15/07.

Kumar's smooth brother Monab Hugo Boss won WD and/or BW all four days he was shown during the first two weekends of July, 2007. He's owned by Sue Ann.

Zoë - Ch. Dadaelis Zoë finished her championship on June 30, 2007. She is our 44th Saluki champion! Zoë is co-owned with Heather Ayre.

Kumar was Best of Opposite in Sweepstakes at the Willamette Valley Saluki Club Specialty June 22nd in Oregon.

"Kadin" - Ch. Ruwach Jailhouse Rock finished his championship on June 17th, shown by his 15 year old owner Tajia Taylor. Congratulations Tajia! "Kadin" is the 6th pup in his litter to finish.

We welcome our newest household member Japanese Chin Two Oaks Tancho Uno. Thanks to Sue Ann and Rachel for taking care of him at the campgrounds during the SCOA National in Kentucky. He flew home with me, under the seat.

Nile's second litter was born in Finland on May 22, 2007, out of Int. Ch. El Hamrah Tiflah. There are 4 males and 4 females, 3 black & silvers and 5 fawns.

Zoë was WB both days at Mt. Baker KC and Cairo was WD both days, May 19-20, 2007.

Black's son (and Joy's grandson), Denali's Kenai Fjords, won a 4 point major from the 9-12 month puppy class in Vero Beach, Florida on April 29, 2007. Kenai is owned by his breeder Jane Worthington and is out of Amrika Aurora Borealis, Joy's daughter out of Ch. Andi Raj Talai.

"Nile" - Fin. Ch. Dadaelis Nile of Tazillah won his 3rd CC and completed his Finnish Championship on Sunday, April 8th. Congratulations to his owners Satu Hyvarinen and Satu Kuukka! He also has two litters due this spring, one in Sweden and one in Finland. Nile is Azali and Abdul's brother. He is our 40th Saluki Champion.

Kumar won 2 more points on 4/8/07 at the Timberland, WA show, going WD/BW/BOS over a male special. He now has 7 points with one major.

"Merlin" - Ruwach Levi Straus (Kumar's brother) won 2 more points on 4/1/07 shown by his 12 year old owner, Andrew, in Florida.

Ch. Ruwach Teddy Bear finished his championship, shown by his 11 year old owner Destany down in Florida. He is one of the smooth boys from Athena's 2nd litter.

Tirzah's puppies were born 9/14/06 and there are 9 - six girls & three boys. (All puppies are placed or being retained).

Zoë won another 4 point major 8/27/06. This was an ASA supported entry show at Sammamish Kennel Club the day after the PSSC Saluki Specialty. Cairo was RWD, also to a 4 point major.

Kumar was RWD to a 5 point major (from the 6-9 month puppy class) at the Puget Sound Saluki Club Specialty on 8/25/06.

Dadaelis Bzantium Ritu Kumar, (Kumar) won RWD to a 4 point major at his very first show at just 6 1/2 months of age, and then went on to win Best Saluki Puppy and Best Puppy in Show!! This was at the Western Washington Hound Assn. Hound Group Show, Auburn, WA 8/6/06. Zoë was also RWB to a major.

Windstorm Ruwach CoCo Chanel was awarded Best Puppy in Specialty at the Saluki Club of Canada Eastern Regional. CoCo is Kumar's sister and she was just barely six months old. She's owned by Starr White in Canada, and is the only female (and feathered) in the Bjorn x Athena litter.

Dadaelis Zoë was awarded Winners and Best of Winners both days at Bell-Vernon, 7/1 & 7/2/06.

"Athena" - Ch. Shiva's Athena Shikadin, has been named an ASA Top Producer for 2005.

"Lovey" - Ruwach Sarea Love Me Tender, a smooth Athena daughter, has won her second major for owners Bev Griffith and Sue Ann Pietros.

We're pleased to welcome our new puppy- Dadaelis Bzantium Ritu Kumar. Kumar is one of the smooth males from Athena's 2006 litter, sired by Khalil's Katra, SC "Bjorn" (Swedish import). He is co-owned with Susie Manthou here in Washington.

"It Took a Tribe in 2005"   - National Specialty Best of Breed to our "Joppa" and Best of Opposite Sex to our "Simon". This was the first time that Best of Breed and Best of Opposite Sex were won by the same breeders in the history of the Saluki Club of America (since 1927).

Tirzah - Am.Can. Ch. Dadaelis Tirzah - finished her Canadian championship in style by winning Best of Breed both days at the Lower Mainland shows on 10/28-29/05, the largest Canadian all-breed shows of the year.

Neptune - Ch. Monab Neptune - won two more group placements in Florida on 10/29-30/05. He is Zoë & Cairo's brother.

Avas - Ch. Stenara Avas-Ahrkad Al Monab - finished her championship on 10/29-30/05 with back to back 5 point majors! She is out of Tirzah's sister Kadeesh, was bred in Brazil by Zorana Bielovic, and imported into the US by Sue Ann Pietros.

"Neptune" - Ch. Monab Neptune won another Hound Group on June 18, 2005 down in Florida.

"Sailor" - Ch. Ruwach Good Luck Charm became the first pup from the Eli x Athena litter to finish his Championship. Congratulations to owner Rita Figg in Florida! Sailor is the only feathered in his litter.

Ch. Ruwach Joppa al Monab won Best of Breed from the classes over Specials 3 of the 6 days on the Cherry Blossom Circuit (week of 3/21-27) to finish with another 5 point major. She is Tirzah's sister.

Ch. Impala Cattleya Of The Aeries, finished her championship on 1/23/05 by winning Best of Breed over specials. Orca is a Smooth daughter of Ch. Dadaelis Ra'She's a Chawk (Joy & Paloma's sister). She is from the litter bred by Lois-Ann Snyder when Don & Marie Adams leased ChaCha to Lois-Ann to be bred to her Ch. Chubasco Ventoora For Impala. She is a sister to Lois' Ch. Impala Cannabis, who was Winners Bitch at the 2003 SCOA National Specialty. Orca is owned by Don Adams. This is the 8th Champion offspring for ChaCha out of her two litters.

Amrika Zaku was Best of Winners at the Puyallup, WA show on 1/15/05 and now just needs a major to finish his championship. He is a Joy son, out of Cheryl Myatt's Tali. He is owned and shown by Cheryl.

Desert Rose Lion King was awarded Best of Breed over 6 Specials on the first day of the 2005 Florida circuit. "Simba" now has 3 majors. He is co-owned with Sue Ann Pietros and Cyndy Cowie Noah, bred by Tom & Judy Lauer, out of their 2003 National Specialty winning Ch. Desert Rose Marrakesh ("Cous Cous"), sired by Multi Int. Ch. Baghdad Creme De La Creme ("Jordan").

"Tirzah" - Ch. Dadaelis Tirzah finished her American championship on November 13, 2004.

Tirzah was awarded Best of Breed over Specials all three days of the Lower Mainland shows on 10/29-31/04.These are Canada's largest All-Breed shows of the year. In one weekend of showing she's more than half way to her Canadian championship. Thanks to everyone who cheered her on in the Groups!

Joy's daughter, Amrika Shenandoa "Shaina", finished her championship on August 1st 2004, by winning Best of Breed over two Specials for her second major. Congratulations to her breeder and owner Cheryl Myatt.

The Deco x Sweetpea daughter, Dadaelis Bzantium Grecian Coin "Drachma", was Best Puppy and Puppy Group 3rd at the same show where Shaina finished. Congratulations to new owner Susan Manthou.

Ruwach Netanya was awarded Best in Futurity at the 2002 and 2003 National Specialty in Lexington.
