Dadaelis T'ku Tildah Adhira arrived in Helsinki, Finland on 2/17 and is now in her new home with Essi Paloma & Ari Raappana.

Dadaelis T'ku Khair of Arshan left here with a friend on 1/27 and arrived in Prague in the Czech Republic, via Frankfurt, on 1/28. There he met he is new family - Steve & Linda Remakova of Slovakia. You can see photos of him already on their website at: www.salukis.sk

Lovey (Dual Champion Ruwach Sarea Love Me Tender) is now an AKC bench champion, an AKC Lure Coursing champion and an ASFA Field champion. Lovey has won BEST IN FIELD at her last two field trials! She is one of the smooths from our Eli x Athena litter (Dreamer's sister), and is owned by Bev Griffith. Congratulations to Lovey & Bev!

Duke (Dadaelis Zo'lo Faiz) was WD for a 5 point major at the C-FLASH Saluki Specialty in Florida on 11/15/09. Lynn showed Duke himself and did a terrific job. Wow! Congratulations to Lynn, Megan & Duke!

Athena (Ch. Shiva's Athena Shikadin) won Best in Veteran Sweeps at the Saluki Club of America's Eastern Regional Specialty in Florida on 11/14/09, and also at the C-FLASH Specialty the next day. Athena is the dam of Tirzah, Kumar and Dreamer and she's now 11 years old. She is co-owned with Sharon Gause, Sue Ann Pietros and Cyndy Cowie and lives in Florida with Sharon. Duke (Dadaelis Zo'lo Faiz) was WD for a 4 point major at the Griffin/Kennesaw show in Georgia on 10/24/09.He is from our 2007 Apollo x Zoe litter. Merlin - Ch. Ruwach Levi Straus (Kumar's brother) attended CRUFTS on March 5, 2009. Merlin was shown by his junior handler Andrew. Congratulations to Andrew for being invited to compete at CRUFTS, the World's largest Dog Show! He earned this honor by winning BOS at the SCOA National Specialty in Lexington, Kentucky. Merlin placed 5th in the Open Dog class of 19 and was the only Smooth male in the competition. Good show boys!

Kumar was Winners Dog at the Sighthound Club of B.C. Specialty on July 20th. RWD and Best Puppy was the Cairo x Tirzah puppy Dadaelis Monab T'Cai Reflections (Lexx). Even though Kumar finished his Canadian championship earlier in the day at the SCOC National there was no way to "move up" as a Special because the show had actually started in the early morning with other Sighthound breeds. The judge for this show was Tim Doxtater from Canada. Kumar finished his Canadian Championship with 4 Specialty wins, - he was also WD at the 2007 SCOC Regional in B.C under judge Diana Allan. WOW! Thank you to all of his Canadian fans!

Kumar was Winners Dog at the SALUKI CLUB OF CANADA NATIONAL SPECIALTY on July 20th. Reserve Winners Dog was the Cairo x Tirzah puppy Dadaelis Monab T'Cai Reflections (Lexx), from the 6-9 month puppy class. He was also awarded Best Puppy. Reserve Winners Bitch was the Cairo x Tirzah puppy Dadaelis T'Cai Rapture (Bliss), from the 6-9 month puppy class. Thank you to judge Juan Carlos Vasconsellos (Anjal Sahara, Paraguay), wow-what a total honor!

Kumar was Winners Dog and Best of Winners at the Western Gazehound Specialty in B.C. Canada on July 19th. The judge was Nubby Erickson from the US. We co-own Kumar with Susan Manthou.

Nile was named Best in Show-Working and Best Dog-3 on June 29th, at the Saluki Show, also held in Mustiala. There were 64 dogs and 79 bitches at this show. The judge was Paula Bockman-Chato from Australia. Congratulations to owners Satu & Satu!

Almas (Stenara Almas-Ahrkad) was Best Bitch-1 and Best in Show at the Saluki Specialty at Mustiala, Finland on June 27, 2008. The judge for bitches was Rosemary Lewis (UK). Almas is Tirzah's niece, being out of one of Tirzah's sisters, Kadeesh. She was bred and is owned by Zorana Bielovic from Brazil. There were 120 bitches entered, plus the 117 dogs mentioned below.Congratulations to Zorana!

Nile (Fin. Ch. Dadaelis Nile of Tazillah) was named Best of Breed-Working and Best Dog-2 (out of 117) at the Saluki Specialty held at Mustiala in Finland. This was during the week of the Saluki World Congress. The judge for dogs was Christina Roseen Lundstrom (Sweden).Kennel Tazillah also won Best in Show-Breeder. Nile (Finnish Ch. Dadaelis Nile of Tazillah) won his 3rd CACIB at the Forssa International dog show last weekend under judge Petru Muntean from Romania. He also was named Best of Breed and then went on to Group 3rd in the Sighthound Group. Congratulations to owners Satu & Satu!

Lucas (Dadaelis Zo'lo Cool Hand Look) was Best of Winners for 2 points at the Cascade Hound Group Show in Oregon on June 14th. He is from the Apollo x Zoë litter, born October 15, 2007. Congratulations to owner Kathy Jones!

Kumar (Ch. Dadaelis Bzantium Ritu Kumar) finished his championship on June 8, 2008 at the Tacoma KC show. Congratulations to co-owner Susie Manthou. Many thanks to friend Kathy Searles who handled Kumar for all of his wins, with the exception of his Best Puppy in Show award where he was handled by Pamela Sirianni. Kumar is by the Swedish import Khalils Katra and out of the beloved Athena (Ch. Lexx (Dadaelis Monab T'Cai Reflections) won his first point on 6/7/08 at the Puyallup KC show, and his fawn feathered sister Phedre (Dadaelis Kushiel's Chosen of T'Cai) was Best of Winners for another point also. The Cairo x Tirzah puppy Tweed, Dadaelis T'Cai Lazeez Alwan, was 2nd in his Sweepstakes class at the 2008 SCOA National Specialty in Lexington, Kentucky on June 4th and his sister, Dadaelis T'Cai Rabiah, won her class of 20 and then went on to win Best of Opposite Sex in Sweepstakes! This was Rabiah's first time in the show ring. Congratulations to new co-owner Bobbi Mason! (Unfortunately, Bobbi had to leave the showgrounds Thursday morning and go back to Illinois because of the storms and tornadoes that were predicted back home).

At the Kalamazoo, MI show on 5/25/08 baby Tweed, Dadaelis T'Cai Lazeez Alwan, meaning "delightful colors" in Arabic, was Best in Sweepstakes and then on to Winners Dog for a 4 point major! This was a supported entry show. Tweed was not yet 7 months old. Congratulations to new co-owner Bobbi Mason (IL).

Kumar was awarded WD/BW and then BOS over 3 male specials (including the PSSC Specialty winner from the day before) at the ASA Medallion supported entry at the Sammamish KC show on 8/26/07. This was a 4 point major for him and he now has 13 points with both majors.

Black's son (and Joy's grandson), Denali's Kenai Fjords, won a 4 point major from the 9-12 month puppy class in Vero Beach, Florida on April 29, 2007. Kenai is owned by his breeder Jane Worthington and is out of Amrika Aurora Borealis, Joy's daughter out of Ch. Andi Raj Talai.

Nile's first litter was born in Sweden on April 26, 2007, out of NORDYW-02 Red Hawk's Emina Farideh. There are 5 bitches, four fawns and one black & tan.

Zoë won another 4 point major 8/27/06. This was an ASA supported entry show at Sammamish Kennel Club the day after the PSSC Saluki Specialty. Cairo was RWD, also to a 4 point major.

Dadaelis Bzantium Ritu Kumar, (Kumar) won RWD to a 4 point major at his very first show at just 6 1/2 months of age, and then went on to win Best Saluki Puppy and Best Puppy in Show!! This was at the Western Washington Hound Assn. Hound Group Show, Auburn, WA 8/6/06. Zoë was also RWB to a major.

Windstorm Ruwach Coco Chanel was awarded Best Puppy in Specialty at the Saluki Club of Canada Eastern Regional. Coco is Kumar's sister and she was just barely six months old. She's owned by Starr White in Canada, and is the only female (and feathered) in the Bjorn x Athena litter.

"Athena" - Ch. Shiva's Athena Shikadin, has been named an ASA Top Producer for 2005.

"Lovey" - Ruwach Sarea Love Me Tender, a smooth Athena daughter, has won her second major for owner Bev Griffith.

"It Took a Tribe in 2005"   - National Specialty Best of Breed to our "Joppa" and Best of Opposite Sex to our "Simon". This was the first time that Best of Breed and Best of Opposite Sex were won by the same breeders in the history of the Saluki Club of America (since 1927).

Tirzah - Am.Can. Ch. Dadaelis Tirzah - finished her Canadian championship in style by winning Best of Breed both days at the Lower Mainland shows on 10/28-29/05, the largest Canadian all-breed shows of the year.

Neptune - Ch. Monab Neptune - won two more group placements in Florida on 10/29-30/05. He is Zoë & Cairo's brother.

Avas - Ch. Stenara Avas-Ahrkad Al Monab - finished her championship on 10/29-30/05 with back to back 5 point majors! She is out of Tirzah's sister Kadeesh, was bred in Brazil by Zorana Bielovic.

"Sailor" - Ch. Ruwach Good Luck Charm became the first pup from the Eli x Athena litter to finish his Championship. Congratulations to owner Rita Figg in Florida! Sailor is the only feathered in his litter.

Ch. Impala Cattleya Of The Aeries, finished her championship on 1/23/05 by winning Best of Breed over specials. Orca is a Smooth daughter of Ch. Dadaelis Ra'She's a Chawk (Joy & Paloma's sister). She is from the litter bred by Lois-Ann Snyder when Don & Marie Adams leased ChaCha to Lois-Ann to be bred to her Ch. Chubasco Ventoora For Impala. She is a sister to Lois' Ch. Impala Cannabis, who was Winners Bitch at the 2003 SCOA National Specialty. Orca is owned by Don Adams. This is the 8th Champion offspring for ChaCha out of her two litters.

Amrika Zaku was Best of Winners at the Puyallup, WA show on 1/15/05 and now just needs a major to finish his championship. He is a Joy son, out of Cheryl Myatt's Tali. He is owned and shown by Cheryl.

Desert Rose Lion King was awarded Best of Breed over 6 Specials on the first day of the 2005 Florida circuit. "Simba" now has 3 majors. He is co-owned with Sue Ann Pietros and Cyndy Cowie Noah, bred by Tom & Judy Lauer, out of their 2003 National Specialty winning Ch. Desert Rose Marrakesh ("Cous Cous"), sired by Multi Int. Ch. Baghdad Creme De La Creme ("Jordan").

"Tirzah" - Ch. Dadaelis Tirzah finished her American championship on November 13, 2004.

Tirzah was awarded Best of Breed over Specials all three days of the Lower Mainland shows on 10/29-31/04.These are Canada's largest All-Breed shows of the year. In one weekend of showing she's more than half way to her Canadian championship. Thanks to everyone who cheered her on in the Groups!
