Words from The Classic Saluki:
For the 2006 issue some internal duties shifted.
Vicky Clarke took on additional work as the editor for the 2006 issue. Then Vicky moved
twice in 2006, developing her 100 acre place in Nevada and is now in her beautiful new
home (as of 11/20/06). She also had two hand surgeries during the year to relieve some of
the pain associated with her job of creating these beautiful magazines for us. Thank
you all for your understanding and patience this year.
2006: Saluki fanciers, desert bred aficionados,
serious students, and friends & admirers of the breed near and far took part by
advertising in our pages and helped us create one of the finest Classics yet!
We reintroduced "It Was a Very Good
Year"covering two years and taking us up to 1987 in the history of
top-producing and influential salukis. Featured salukis, with articles, in the 2006 Annual

Starting in 2003 we went to an Annual format.

a lot of archival information to share, and Saluki research projects to focus on.
The treasure of the Esther Bliss Knapp Estate will be featured in most of the
upcoming issues.
